May's updates help you protect margin at checkout. You can now block discounts on the items that can't take them, send food tickets to the right kitchen printer, and build loyalty rewards with a simpler form.
A cashier discount on top of a sale price, or on tobacco, eats margin you never meant to give away. Discount restrictions let you decide where discounts are allowed, for a single item or a whole department at once.
Restrict Discounts on Promotions stops cashiers from adding a discount to an item that's already on promotion.
Restrict POS Discounts blocks all register discounts on the item.
Restrict Multiple POS Discounts allows one discount per item, but not two stacked together.
Set them with a Product Rule to cover a department, like Tobacco, in one step.
Where to find it: Back Office › Products › Product Rules · Set up discount restrictions →
Send each food ticket to the right counter. If you run a coffee bar and a deli, each department can print to its own kitchen printer. Reach out to your Vori team to add a printer. Route tickets to the right counter →
A crisper logo on your receipts. Upload a receipt logo in POS Settings, and Vori converts it to black and white so it prints cleanly. It can differ from the logo on the customer-facing screen. Customize your receipts →
Edit any product detail in bulk. Bulk Actions on VoriOS can now change every product attribute for a list of items you scan or search. Bulk update products →
Keep private-label barcodes exactly as printed. Turn on Preserve Barcode as-is when you edit a barcode, so leading zeros stay put. Create a product on VoriOS →
Weighed items scan more reliably, and inventory shows a "Just Scanned" label so you know the count registered.
Build loyalty rewards with a simpler form. Choose the reward type, how shoppers earn it, and which products count. Vori saves as you go. Create a loyalty reward →
Food modifiers now earn loyalty points. Bottle deposits still don't.
Barcodes with extra GS1 digits at the end now scan on the handheld.
A barcode you edit while creating a product now saves as edited.
The barcode on regular wide yellow shelf tags printed from the handheld is fixed.
