April put more control at the register. You can now take tax off a whole sale for schools and nonprofits, verify age with a quick ID scan, and ring up made-to-order food right alongside groceries.
When a school, nonprofit, or government buyer checks out, your cashier can take the tax off the whole sale in a couple of taps.
Open the Orders menu and tap Apply Tax Exemption. The total drops to the no-tax amount right away.
Add an optional reason, like a certificate number or organization name.
Choose whether a manager has to approve it in POS Settings › Manager Approvals.
The waived tax and reason show on the transaction in Back Office.
Where to find it: the register › Orders › Apply Tax Exemption · Process a tax-exempt sale →
Sell made-to-order food at the lane. Quick Food Service lets you ring up coffee, sandwiches, and other counter items with modifiers, then send the ticket to prep. Set up your food counter →
Scan an ID to check age. Scan the barcode on the back of a U.S. driver's license or state ID, and the register confirms the shopper's age in seconds. Verify age with an ID scan →
Sign in with a badge. Cashiers and managers can scan a badge barcode to sign in, use a PIN, or both. Set up badge sign-in →
Fewer cards left in the reader. After a chip card payment, the register prompts the shopper to remove their card.
Pause an order after a canceled payment and come back to it when the shopper is ready.
Cashback goes through manager approval when a shopper adds it on the card reader and your store requires approval.
No more lockouts mid-sale. The register won't auto-lock during payment, and every scan resets the inactivity timer.
Clearer inventory modes. Pick Restock, Shrink, or Count, and log weighed items by weight and quantity. You can restock or record shrink even before an item has a count, and Donation is now a shrink reason. Manage inventory on the floor →
Faster ordering. Filter search by department, sort your order by quantity, and keep your search when you jump between screens. Place orders on VoriOS →
Add or update products in bulk with a CSV. Go to Products › Product Catalog, click Upload, and review every row before it saves. Bulk upload products →
See every change to a product. Click the clock icon on any product to see what changed, when, and whether a person, a Product Rule, or a product group made the change. View product history →
Gift card refunds now use the amount the cashier enters, not the full order amount.
Pressing Enter quickly in PLU search no longer adds the wrong item.
Scanning a manager badge no longer shows "product not found."
Loyalty prices stay put if a shopper signs in after payment starts, and refunds respect member, day, and month conditions.
