March brings a new way to build promotions, a one-scan price check at the register, and cleaner sales totals. The handheld also picks up product groups and quicker ordering.
Vendor deals and weekly ads come in every shape. The new Promotions tool lets you set each one up the way you'd explain it to a shopper, then it rings up correctly at every lane.
Pick an offer type: price reduction, Buy X Get Y Free, mix and match (2 for $5), combo (buy a sandwich, get a drink), or minimum spend. Compare offer types β
Add conditions like loyalty members only, a minimum basket total, or a limit per basket. Add conditions to an offer β
Schedule a deal to start and end at a set time, or repeat daily, weekly, or monthly. Schedule a promotion β
Create and edit promotions on the handheld, see every active deal on an item's product page, and print the matching promo tag. Run promotions from the handheld β
Where to find it: Back Office βΊ Products βΊ Promotions Β· Tour the Promotions page β
Check a price without ringing it up. Scan an item or enter a PLU to see its current price, active promotions, SNAP or WIC eligibility, and tax status. It works mid-sale without touching the cart. Check a price at the register β
Update a whole product group from the aisle. Scan items into a group, link attributes like retail price, and one change updates every item. Manage product groups on the handheld β
Sign in with a PIN. Set a PIN to get into the handheld faster.
Pick your vendor faster when you order. The vendor picker shows your most-used vendors first, with their logos.
Scan the orderable item first. When you scan to order, items that have a vendor item code come up first.
Each cost worked out for you. Ordering calculates each cost from the case cost and case size.
Clearer prices and units. Product and vendor item pages show price, unit, and case size (like "12 per case") more clearly, and departments read as Dairy > Eggs.
Faster inventory sync. The handheld now pulls only what changed, so updates arrive sooner.
Safer department edits. A redesigned department form makes it harder to change many products by accident. Set up and edit departments β
Keep pass-through sales out of your totals. Exclude a department or parent department, like third-party gift cards, lottery, or money orders, so your sales reports show real store revenue. Exclude a department from sales reporting β
The handheld no longer gets stuck showing a syncing error.
Completed multi-vendor orders now clear from every handheld.
Inactive products no longer show up when you pick items for a promotion.
